Missed the Fall Colors at Harpers Ferry?

Hike

There is no better area than the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Harpers Ferry, WV to partake of the beautiful array of fall colors. The warming tonesof orange, brown and red on the leaves of the trees line the banks of the rivers and the mountains which surround them. There is no better way to view this gorgeous site other than up close and personal in a canoe, kayak or raft on our Fall Foliage Trips. This is the time of the year when you truly reap the rewards of getting off the highways and onto the waterways. Not only do you get the awesome view of the changing leaves, but you sometimes get the added bonus of higher water in the Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers. With the fall rains and the sunny days, this year’s Autumn was a sight to behold.

If you were not able to share in this delight perhaps you can join us for next year’s Autumn show or try our spring trips which offer higher waters and the blossoms of wildflowers. You can opt for our Wildflowers hike near Leesburg, VA or our Wildflowers and Wine Tour with Tarara Vineyard. Or if the freezing tundra of winter has you yearning to get on the water why not get a jump start on our 2011 season and sign up for a spring raft trip in Maryland. Rafting begins in late March with weather permitting. It may be a bit nippy but we can provide you with a wetsuit and a raft trip that will have you hungry for more excitement!
